ABOUT US

Hey ya'll!
We're a Radio, Television and Broadcasting club! That is to say we're into independant film-making and radio recording! So if you're interested in someday being on television or maybe being a deejay to a prominent radio chanel then you sure have come to the right place! We try to give everyone a chance because we like to believe that we are fair enough so rest assured you will be given the opportunities to dabble here and there before eventually deciding where your aptitude really lies!

Or realy you can just join us for the fun of it because there's never...(well HARDLY never) a dull moment with COSTA. Be it our organized activities, weekly futsal sessions , and let's not forget the trips which we are rather fond of having every now and then!

The thing you must remember is that because of the nature of broadcasting, we are rather humanitarian and believe in advocating for human and environmental rights so, if you are looking for a place to earn some cash, you might as well transfer off to the Monash Business club or something. Because really if that is you, all the ammount of cash we donate to charities will probably make you cry!

But otherwise we sincerely hope you have an AWESOME time with COSTA!

IT'S ALL BOUT THE COMMUNICATION BABY!

Lookin' fine for the 2nd half of 2008!

Hey ya'll!

This is your secretary speaking and since i have landed myself the post of Costa blogger I do expect ya'll to come over here and check it out every now and then! It's not quite good for my morale if you don't, you know (since there's hardly any point updating a blog that no one goes to!).

Well, first things first, I am quite appalled at the state of this blog actually...only two posts! Goodness...well I can see why most of us didn't even know it existed before this! Still I am rather hoping for that to change since we will be using this blog to (hopefully) publish most of our videos and podcasts as well.

If you all are not quite up to speed, let's all just give a huge round of (mental) applause to our previous committee members for an excellent job reviving Costa from the ashes. Really I have heard stories that Costa has been quite innactive prior to 2008 and I must say Kat and Aaron and their team has done a great job laying the foundation with which we have to work with.

I daresay the current committe have pretty HUGE shoes to fill (which we will to our greatest effort!) and here they are (in descending order of importance)

President: Natasha Tan
Vice President: Abeer Yusuf
Treasurer: Caryn Lim
Publicity: Bats
Events Manager: Wei Liang
Radio Director: Bats

CnS Coordinator: Rashaad
Arts Representitive: Calvin

and of course the Costa secretary and blogger, yours truly Cyren Wong.

Our next upcoming event, after settling the mess that is the recruitment of new members into Costa, will be the Costa Bash next Thursday on the 31st of July. For the benefit of new members, the Costa Bash will be something to look forward to! It is basically a free party (free if you've already paid the registration fee!) for all of our new and returning members that will allow us to mingle and really get to know each other a bit!

As we are very much into all things media we have agreed to stick with a rather interesting theme for this year's Costa Bash and that is Superheroes! But fear not! There isn't quite any need for you to go hunting for your cape and spandex for we have it all covered! But really perhaps more on that during our first AGM which is set for next Teusday I believe.

At any rate, thank you all for joining, participate in any activity you may find interested and by all means work with us to take this association to greater things!

*oh and I do hope ya'll approve of the new template I took the liberty of designing. I think it is much more awesome than the original one!*

PEACE OUT
